Climbing perennial vine known as Dang-Shen in its native China. Prefers full sun to part shade and something to twine around. Beautiful bell-shaped flowers. The roots are crunchy, sweet and tasty, helping to tonify the blood and build chi - similar in action to Ginseng, hence "Poor Man's Ginseng". Sow in spring.
Sowing: Start indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost; can direct sow in early Summer. Barely cover seed. Needs light to germinate.
