Description
Lot of 5 adorable tiny hand-painted pots/vases, miniature dollhouse size. The two bulbous pots are Chinese, and they appear to fit together with the little loop handles linking like a hinge. I am not sure what the purpose is. These two bear the blue-and-white backstamp of Jingdezhen Zhi / Jingdezhen Make, circa 1970. The tall cylinder vase with polychrome floral design has one tiny Asian mark in red. This one looks more Japanese to my admittedly untrained eye.
Of the remaining two bulbous vases, the one with the orange flower is possibly from Mexico. The one with the yellow flower, more naive in style, I do not know the origin. Neither has any markings.
Size: Larger blue-and-white pot is 2" in diameter x 1-1/8" tall. Smaller one is 1-3/4" in diameter x 1-1/8" tall. Cylinder vase is 1-3/4" tall x 7/8" in diameter. Orange flower pot is 1-1/4" in diameter x 1-1/8" tall. Yellow flower pot is 1-1/4" in diameter x 1-1/8" tall.
Age: I can only date the blue-and-white ones, 1970.
