Description

Mustache Mugs were invented in 1870 and have a half-moon shaped opening near the lip of the cup to allow the passage of liquids while serving as a guard to keep mustaches dry. This unique style of cup stopped production between the 1920s and 1930s , as mustaches progressively faded out of fashion. Now, these antique cups are a coveted collector's item!

This beautiful mustache cup in the ornate "Chang" design features vivid colors and an Oriental design. The cup was made in Bursem, England in the late 1800s and is stamped "E.M. & Co Chang" - for Edge Malkin & Co and the Chang design.

This cup is in excellent vintage condition ans may show signs of wear, as is expected with age and use. Please review all photos for details. Sold "as-is".
