"Going Out With A Bang"
In the final at bat of his Hall of Fame career, the Splendid Splinter hits home run #521 at Fenway Park on September 28, 1960.

On a chilly and overcast Wednesday afternoon, before a crowd of only 10,454 at Fenway, Teddy Ballgame came to bat for the last time in his career. In the bottom of the eighth, after receiving a two-minute ovation prior to the at-bat, Williams hit a 1-1 fastball from Baltimore's Jack Fisher 440 feet into the Boston bullpen for a home run. It was the 521st homer in the Splendid Splinter's legendary career. "Baseball has given me everything I wanted," Williams, 42-years old at the time, said after the game.
