Stunning porcelain set of 4 plates of waterfowl in vivid greens browns gold created by artist E. Stanley “Ned” Smith, in 1979. Plates are rimmed in gold and were made in Japan and are signed and dated. Ned Smith was self-taught and a naturalist in a small town in Pennsylvania who created thousands of astonishingly accurate drawings and paintings of wildlife for books, catalogues and magazines and many limited edition prints from 1940s to 1980s. These beautiful plates are like new with no damages or signs of wear or fading. Size 8” round. Set of 4 plates.
